Where it stands

A seven-node Kubernetes cluster with Ceph for storage, reached over a tailnet, with builds running natively on both architectures.

The layout itself, layer by layer from the applications down to the racks and the uplink between the two sites, is drawn on the homelab page.

Why it exists

Partly to host things. Mostly because operating a platform end to end — storage, network, compute, upgrades — is the only way to keep the intuitions honest. The failures are small enough to be survivable and real enough to teach something.
